Simsco Candy Factory
This is an add-on for the base game Cupcake Factory, as well as my Simsco Farm Factory mod, that allows you to make Businesses and Hobbies pack candy on the machines.
I didn’t think the built-in candy maker was Willy Wonka-like enough, but the Cupcake Factory is perfect for this. It’s also slightly faster to make candy on the Cupcake Factory than using the built-in candy maker.
It also adds Small Business employee rules that can direct a small business employee to make candy on the factory. So you can have your Oompa-Loompas toiling away in the back room making you rich!
On the Cupcake Factory, it adds a Craft Candy interaction that allows you to make candy with the usual ingredient and skill requirements.
On the Simsco Canning Factory, it adds the candy recipes to the Jams & Preserves section of the recipe picker.
Small Business Features
For Small Businesses, there are options to direct an employee to:
- Craft Candy (makes random candy)
- Craft Cotton Candy
- Craft Jellybeans
- Craft Lollypops
- Craft Cupcakes
- Craft Pastries
They won’t need a particular skill to make these things to allow them to make a variety of products without requiring a particular skill level, and they also won’t need ingredients, since that doesn’t really work with autonomous crafting.
Once something comes off the conveyor belt, they will pick it up and attempt to set it on a surface. Make sure they have something nearby to set it on.
Pack Requirements

If you have the Simsco Canning Factory mod installed, it will add recipes to it. But it shouldn’t be required.
